this is a shōnen about japanese gods, spirits and magical creatures. this adventure is seen through hiyori's eyes, a human girl who gets trapped between human and spirit realm when she saves yato's life, a stray god. hiyori, trying to control her new body, remains by his side since he promises he'll help her. however, he has no idea how can he solve the problem. to top it all, a soul of a teenager boy with attitude problems, yukine, becomes yato's shinki, a magic sword. the three of them will have to deal with their own troubles, resolve their bad cohabitation and survive from evil forces.

this story is a perfect combination of adventure, comedy and fantasy, making it enjoyable since minute one. the main characters, as well as supporting ones, have their virtues and flaws, which you can easily understand and empathise with. you'll cry, laugh and love them right away.

hinata shōyō is a volleyball lover who joins the volleyball team in his middle school. even though he has innate talent for it, he lacks of technique and experience, and he's far away from other volleyball players like kageyama tobio, a very arrogant boy that hinata can't stand. now in high school, hinata and kageyama see each other's faces again, but this time it's different: both are in the same volleyball team in karasuno high.

even if you're not a big fan of sports, this anime goes way beyond volleyball; it's about friendship, overcoming fears, accepting challenges and many other emotions that grabs you on a different level. you'll live every moment as you were part of the team.
